Do I need to install an app to use QuickTag?
You (the tag owner) install the app to manage tags and receive calls. The finder doesn't install anything — they just scan with their phone camera and tap one button.
Will the finder ever see my phone number?
Never. Every call is routed through a one-time masked relay number. You see theirs only if you choose to, and they never see yours.
What if I lose my phone — can I revoke a tag?
Yes. From any browser, log in and pause, revoke, or re-issue any tag. Tags can also auto-rotate their QR token on a schedule.
Does QuickTag track my location?
We log scan timestamps and approximate region (city-level) so you know where your tag was scanned. We don't track you continuously, ever.
Are the tags waterproof?
All physical tags are weatherproof IPX6 or higher. Pet collar bands and elderly wristbands survive showers, beach days, and dishwashers (we tested).
Can multiple family members share tags?
Yes — Family and Business plans include shared dashboards, multiple emergency contacts per tag, and per-tag access control.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your free tag stays active forever. Paid tags drop to read-only mode (no incoming calls) but keep the QR live so we can still notify you by email if scanned.
Is QuickTag GDPR / CCPA compliant?
Yes. We process the minimum data necessary, store nothing personal on the QR itself, and honor data-export and deletion requests within 24 hours.
Can I use my own design on the tag?
Personal and Family plans pick from our color library. Business plans support full custom branding, logos, and bulk SKUs.
Why not just use AirTag?
AirTags are for tracking objects you own. QuickTag is for letting strangers reach you without exposing your identity. Different problem, different tool.
